Okay, we are totally aware that this page is generally reserved for the few awesome movie flicks we want to share with the local teen population. However, after reading Chat Room Chatter, by Justin Lookadoo, we had to get the word out about its humorous and honest relevance to issues relating to teen dating, sexuality, self image and much more. While the book is written from a Christian point of view, the approach Justin uses to deal with these topics can be readily received, understood and applied by those who profess any faith...or none at all. Justin candidly discusses issues like handling breakups, what it means to "go too far"...and how to deal with that stalker girl from second period that just won't leave you alone. This book will have you laughing, agreeing and talking about these issues with your friends the first time you read it. Justin's ability to relate to teens is amazing and you will find yourself among the many examples he uses to explore these issues. Girls, guys...don't miss out on this one. It will change the way you look, think and act toward your peers, as well help you to understand your self worth. Enjoy!

Post a comment after you have read the book to let us know what you think.

You may have heard your parents, teachers, or friends say…”You can be anything you want to be when you grow up” or, “you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it.” They aren’t kidding. It’s true! You don’t have to don a super hero costume or be a genius to accomplish amazing feats. All you have to do is believe in yourself and put forth the effort. Yup, it’s that easy. You hold so much promise it’s daunting; only because you have the ability to use your limitless potential for good, bad or, not at all. Being a STRYVER, we are confident that your efforts will be put forth to accomplish great things.

You must be aware that no matter what you do, there will be those among you who will undoubtedly douse your optimism with pessimistic talk. However, be steadfast in your dreams and use their negativity as fuel for your fire. You have it in you. All you have to do is STRYVE for it. Check out this new film and get the scoop on teens just like you who reached for the moon and became a star.
